Eleven people were certified as level 4 which is considered as the highest rank of skill-testing by National Skill Testing Board under Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Ministry of Education of Nepal. They are eligible to guide in all mountains around the globe.

Those interested in becoming Nepal National Mountain Guides can also join the National Skill Testing Board to qualify for the occupation skill test. They are put in level 4 of the occupation skill test. A mountain guide in Nepal is a professional whose competence has been certified by NNMGA. He is capable of taking and instructing any person in a secure, responsible and autonomous manner for activities specific to the profession. His ability based on his expertise, practical knowledge of the mountains.
