Commencement of Aspirant Guide Course (AGC) – 2021/22, Entry Exam and Component I
Every years NNMGA has been conducting aspirant guide course to create trained manpower in the mountaineering sector. Aspirant guide course is considered as first level education and pivotal qualification to become certified mountain guide.
The training focuses on first aid, High altitude pathology, expedition organization, avalanche rescue, map navigation, cliff rescue training and rock climbing progression.
Today, oral examination of 12 participates for this year aspirant guide course was conducted in the association. The participate will have to compulsorily pass the oral examination and rock climbing examination taken by the association. Further, the successful participants will be trained in high-altitude around 4000 to 5800 amsl.
For the course, Mr. Nima Tenji Sherpa has appointed as Education Chief where Mr. Pasang Kaji Sherpa, Mr. Pimba Tenjing ‘pims’ Lama, Mr. Lam Babu Sherpa and Mr. Riten Jangbu Sherpa are appointed as entry exam examiner.
The course is conducting joinlty by Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA) and Nepal Mountain Academy.
